High Trek Adventure 2007 has come to a close. Our last stop was in the valley of the sun, where once again we brought our unique, fun, and clever event as well as fabulous weather!!! HTAers came from all over the urban sprawl to take part (many for the first time) in "the most exciting urban adventure game ever created!"

Congrats to team Wrong Way who nabbed 1st place while finishing 2nd! Huh? They leap froged team College Times by way of the successfully answering more team trivia questions. Wrong Way completed our shortest HTA to date in only 49 minutes (bear in mind that they had 34 minutes taken off because of the trivia). Rounding out the top 3 was There's no "I" in BEER!

1. Wrong Way :49 minutes Southwest Airline tickets
2. College Times :52 minutes Hotel Congress package
3. There's no "I" in BEER! 1:23 minutes New Balance shoes

Remember, there are many urban adventure games out there but none reward you like High Trek Adventure does. We will announce next year's national race series soon...stay tuned!

Until next year...

“The most exciting urban adventure game ever created!” had another successful campaign in DC. People came from all over the eastern seaboard—NYC to Atlanta—just to be a part of the unique and thrilling event!!!

HTA DC was won by two HTA veterans, Erik Carpenter and Ty Summers, who raced through the monument speckled streets under the guise of team Jolly Roger and beat DeRichter by 25 minutes!!! Team Jolly Roger took home the 2 Southwest tickets while the runners up comprised of Amy DeWitt (HTA vet) and Zach Richter nabbed the 2 $100 Fleet Feet gift certificates. Third place, HoroDebis, actually was the 5th team to arrive, but because they only missed 2 trivia questions they were able to leap frog in the show position and took home the CityPaper prize package!

1. Jolly Rogers 1:26

2. DeRichter 1:51

3. Debowitz 2:20

There was excitement in the air on Saturday 08.25 as High Trek Adventure docked its unique blend of trivia, pop culture and sport on SF's bay. People poured into Tres Agaves - some early ;) - eagerly to begin their adventure.

This year's HTA SF came down to the wire: 60 seconds separated the 1st team in from the 2nd. Desert Taxi needed little water, as they zig zagged its way around the SF the quickest and took home the 2 Southwest tickets. Enjoy your trip and send HTA a post card! Team Kopfgeschlagen (meaning small wooden boat in Canadian, we think) finished High Trek adventure SF in exactly 90 minutes! Second faster ever!

Here's HTA SF Top 5 Trekkies:

1. Desert Taxi 1:29

2. Team Kopfgeschlagen 1:30

3. SF Station: Girl Power 2:15

4. Club Dragon 2:22

5. Superfantastic 2:28

SF Station: The Late Version comprised of Duncan & Harlow missed 2 TREKpoints and thus got whipped by their XX chromosome colleagues and finished dead last! Sorry fellas. Nice job ladies!

We'll see you in DC!

Another fantastic sunny day took place when High Trek Adventure rolled its way in to Chi-town. What can we say, we have the magic weather touch!

This High Trek Adventure was unlike any other because in addition to taking public transportation and the soles of their 2 feet participants could flag down an I-GO car. It was awesome and really leveled the playing field.

Many participants were fooled when we kept them on the north side of town. (We might have next year's High Trek Adventure in the Loop.), but team
Hobbs' Heroes was not fooled as came in first by nearly an hour and they took home the grand prize of 2 Southwest Airline tickets. Team GO! won the runner-up prize claiming the 2 pairs of New Balance sneakers.

Here's the top 5 from Chicago 2007:

1.
Hobbs' Heroes 1:58

2.
GO! 2:54

3. Cougar Slayers
3:48

4.
uchenna and joyce 4:03

5. Team Goose Island 4:08

We look forward to our return to Chicago next year!

It t'was a day before the 5th and all through the city...everything was stirring when High Trek Adventure trail blazed its way through Portland. This race was our closest ever as it came down to brains, not brawn. Team Snot Rocket II and TBA finished with the exact same time, but it came down to who scored better on the Team Trivia; TSR II did 2 better than TBA. Congrats to TSR II they took home the 2 Southwest tickets!

People came from Boston to Delaware and everywhere in between for the high energy High Trek Adventure NYC. They were not disappointed. HTAers zagged and zigged all over Manhattan from the Brooklyn Bridge to Ave of Americas to the UN. PHEW!!! When all was said and done The Lead Foots took it all with a time of 2:19. Congrats!

1. The Lead Foots

2. Demon Beavers

3. Two Blind Mice

4. Margarita Enthusiasts

Staving off the rainy weather by one day, High Trek Adventure Rochester was a huge success. HTAers raced all over the Innerloop in hopes to be krowned (our homage to our host site, Montys Korner) winners of the ROC. It only took team Shocker 1:24 (after HTA's mathmatical formula to adjust time; we give time off for smarts and prizes unlike the other urban adventure game). Team Shocker took home 2 round trip tix courtesy of Southwest Airlines.

We made the six o'clock news with a nice clip of the craziness. Thanks News Channel 8, you made many Rochesterians local celebraties. We will see you next year for round 3!

Top 5

1. Shocker

2. No Longer Friends

3. Laffy Taffy

4. TPS

5. Boulder Coffee

Check out the niceties that The City wrote. TC said HTA Roc was the thing to do on June 2!!! Click here for the article.
